Beni shi en (Acer palmatum Beni shi en')

Beni shi en is an unusual redleafed variegate. In the spring it starts out red with darker edging on the long, narrow, deeply divided leaves. The plant is a moderate grower but never gets large. It was developed in the Deep South and is recommended for that climate as it doesn’t burn in the sun but holds its red color well. zone 6.
