Watnong (Acer palmatum 'Watnong')

Watnong is probably the same cultivar as Baldsmith, a wonderful new dissectum. This pitiful picture at least shows the variations in the foliage color that seem to be always present.

Waterfall (Acer palmatum 'Waterfall')

Like Viridis and Palmatifidum, this is a mounding-type shrub, growing much wider than tall with deeply dissected leaves. My specimen turns more red than the expected yellow in the fall. zone 6

Tamukeyama (Acer palmatum 'Tamukeyama')

In my opinion, this is the best of the weeping red dissectums as it grows full and vigorously and keeps its dark maroon color all summer.

Spring Delight (Acer palmatum 'Spring Delight')

Spring Delight is a green dissectum which is much more delightful in fall than in spring when the green new leaves are tipped with red.

Seiryu (Acer palmatum 'Seiryu')

The only really good upright dissectum, the tree may reach 18′ and is a delicate lacy light green. Zone 5. This photo is from Michael Healy.

Red Dragon (Acer palmatum 'Red Dragon')

Red Dragon, a weeping dissectum, is similar to Crimson Queen but smaller and more compact; it hold the red color in the summer extremely well; the leaves are scarlet in the fall.
