Elizabeth (Magnolia x 'Elizabeth')
An acuminata x denudata hybrid, the tree grows pyramidally to 20′ and blooms very young with large light yellow flowers. Zone 6.

A deciduous tree to 50′, this tree flowers early and profusely with the large rose colored flowers you see here. It flowers fairly late and thus usually escapes frost damage. The seed pods are bright red and very showy in the fall. zone 6. Thanks to Matt Lobdell for photo.

Caerhays Belle is a tricky tree here; it has one of the most beautiful flowers of any of those that I grow, but it is really early and a hard freeze in the spring knocks it right out. Matt Lobdell’s photo totally captures CB’s seductiveness.

Butterflies (Magnolia 'Butterflies')
Maybe the best of the yellow flowering cultivars, it is a small tree with deep yellow goblet flowers. Zone 5.

A seedling of ‘Diva’, sprengeri ‘Burncoose’ isn’t quite as large a tree, but the flowers are bigger and deeper pink. The one small problem is that a late spring frost will zap them.

Ashei (Magnolia Macrophylla sub. 'Ashei')
Ashei is an early blooming form of Magnolia macrophylla. The leaves might be a tiny bit smaller but they are still huge. The flowers also are huge. zone 5 possibly.

Advance is a gorgeous Vulcan cross shaped purpllish hybrid out of NZ. This seems lighter than the one on the Magnolia Store site, but this is what I have.
